Use for minor strains
Good for strains and bruising. Works well for my horse with hoof issues, but I always use it after feeding, and only for minor problems to bring some relief.

Awesome
My 8 year old percheron cross slipped and fell in the mud. His hind leg swelled up pretty badly. Of course I just threw my Bute away 2 days prior! I used this hoping it would help. By the next moring all swelling was gone! This is an awesome product! I would highly recommend keeping it in a first aid kit.

Quick Pain Relief
We don't use this product Every time we ride, but if we think we want to trot and lope our older horses with joint problems, we give them a dose prior to riding and they actually seem ready to git up go when we ask rather than acting up due to minor pain. I also use when needed the powder AniPrin from this website at night after riding the older boys a little harder as well as the Easy Willow for extra pain relief of my older x-rodeo horse with arthritis if we've worked more than usual. All the products do great. I also just ordered the powdered Glucosomine, 5000 from Horse.com to give on a regular basis to see how it works compared to the liquid joint supplements we purchase here.

In my First Aid Kit
I've used the liquid and pellets like them both. Brought the paste fora trip just in case I need a pain reliever. So I'm sure it will work for mebut I was lucky enough not to use it. I do like the convenience of the paste.

Why did you choose this?

needed pain medicine for horse with arthritis don't want to use bute.

My mini pony has laminitis and tendon problems also

easy to use to get dose needed

Hoping it will help my mare who has arthritis in both hind legs.

Can I administer the bute-less  pellets twice a day to my foundered horse?

Yes, But I would double check with your vet first.

Can you give the bute less 2 times in 1 day?

Yes, I gave the bute less twice a day. One dose in the am and then another in the pm.

How much do you give a miniature horse?
How much for a 350 lb weanling?

For a horse smaller than average adult size, we have to recommend that you check with your veterinarian.

I have a 9 year old gelding that I just bought, he just had his wolf teeth pulled last night, i am competing in a rodeo on Saturday. Would someone recommend this product be something that may be useful to eliminate any soreness?

I used this for my 27 year old QH mare when I showed her last year in a ranch horse show, and I didn't notice any soreness the next day. Only used it once, but I would say it worked. Now compared to Bute or any other clinical anti-inflammatory, I don't know how it compares.

How long before it takes affect?

I can give in the morning of show, then will show in the afternoon . But in all actuality, It would think it is effective within a couple of hours because it is in paste form, whereas if given in pill form, it would take longer for the pill to break down so that the ingredients could be effective. Hope that helps

Will this stuff help my horses leg if it is sore ???

I believe this product eases discomfort, just as an aspirin eases discomfort to you, but this product is suppose to be better for their stomach
